Don’t Blame Yourself
Life has a way of throwing punches we never saw coming. A failed relationship, a missed opportunity, a mistake that keeps replaying in our minds like a song we wish we could turn off. And too often, we do the worst thing possible—we turn on ourselves.
We whisper words we’d never say to a friend:
"I should have known better."
"It's my fault."
"Maybe I deserve this."
But hear me—you are not your mistakes.
YOU ARE NOT DEFINED BY YOUR FAILURES
We all stumble. We all make choices we wish we could take back. But God doesn’t look at you and see a mistake—He sees His child, loved beyond measure. In Isaiah 43:18-19, God reminds us:
"Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!"
If God is not dwelling on your past, why should you?
FORGIVENESS INCLUDES YOURSELF
Many of us believe in grace for others but refuse to extend it to ourselves. We carry burdens we were never meant to hold. But Jesus didn’t go to the cross so you could live shackled in shame—He came to set you free.
Let it go.
Lay it at His feet.
Step into the grace that was always meant for you.
YOUR PAIN WILL NOT BE WASTED
Whatever has happened, whatever you’re walking through—it will not be for nothing. God is still writing your story, and the pages ahead are full of purpose. Romans 8:28 says,
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose."
Not some things.
All things.
That includes your past. Your pain. Your regret.
HOPE IS AHEAD
You are not alone in this. You are not beyond redemption. You are not too far gone.
So take a deep breath. Wipe the tears from your eyes. And remind yourself of this truth:
You are loved. You are forgiven. And you are still here for a reason.
Don’t blame yourself.
God’s grace is bigger than your worst moment.
Keep walking. Keep trusting.
Your story isn’t over yet.
